• Social profiles: LinkedIn, Instagram, or Twitter information you voluntarily connect

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

• Provide and personalize the AI coaching experience
• Generate insights, analytics, and progress reports
• Send notifications and email communications you have opted into
• Improve the Service and develop new features
• Ensure security and prevent fraud

3. AI Processing

Your journal entries and coaching conversations are processed by AI language models (Anthropic Claude) to provide personalized coaching responses and insights. Your content is sent to these AI providers solely for processing your requests and is not used to train their models.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only:

• With AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) solely to process your requests
• With payment processors to handle subscriptions
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights
• With your explicit consent (e.g., peer learning network opt-in)

Peer learning features use anonymized, AI-generated summaries only. Your raw data is never shared with other users.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use PostgreSQL databases with encrypted connections and follow security best practices for authentication and data protection.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: View all data we hold about you
• Export: Download your data in portable formats (CSV, ZIP) via Settings
• Correct: Update your personal information at any time
• Delete: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent: Opt out of data processing, peer learning, or email communications

7. Cookies & Local Storage

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use local storage to save your theme preference and TTS settings. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data and content will be permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated analytics data may be retained for service improvement.

9. Children's Privacy

Kairos is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
